The year is 979. It has been five years since Hedeby burned. Five years since the Danes lost the war against the Roman Empire. For five years King Harald Bluetooth has tightened his iron grip on the Danes. He needs to convert the last Asatru, or the Romans will return.

The time for summer celebrations draws near, and the clans are gathering for a Midsommer blot. The King has send his warriors, Norse followers of the White Christ, to ensure the safety of the land…

The Last Song is a historical fiction set near the end of the viking-age. In this immersive larp you will play as a Norse character during a time of cultural crisis. The world of the Norse peoples, as they know it, is coming to an end. A decision must be made; will you cast away the Æsir on your own, or will you suffer the consequences of going against your King.

Arrive on horseback!

Two of the Clans will ride to the gathering, before the larp starts they will be driven to a nearby riding facility where they will be lend a horse and set off on their in character journey back to the location.

You should expect to ride on an Icelandic Horse for two to three hours and happens during the first act. Doing so with modern gear for the horse, and a modern riding helmet.

The horses are not re-enactment trained, but rather traditional tourist horses. They have a carrying capacity ranging 80 kg to 90 kg, meaning you are unlikely to be able to wear armour. There is no insurance included in the horse rental; you are responsible for your insurance coverage and your health, as is the case with most activities in Denmark. We strongly recommend you wear the helmet.

The horses will be removed from the location after the first act, shortly after their arrival.
